Brandon SaylorCCIM

Brandon Saylor is a native of Albuquerque and a graduate of Sandia Preparatory School. An avid sportsman, he has a passion for soccer, golf, tennis, mountain biking, and skiing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was also a member of the downhill mountain bike race team.

The son of Richard Saylor, a prominent Albuquerque business owner, investor, and developer, Brandon plays an integral role in the management and development of the family’s real estate portfolio. While he specializes in retail, his family’s extensive investment history across various sectors—including office, retail, restaurants, charter schools, multi-family dwellings, free-standing commercial buildings, and industrial properties—has provided him with a broad and comprehensive understanding of the Albuquerque market.

Brandon represents both national and local retailers, ranging from boutique shop tenants to national retailors . He has successfully facilitated transactions with major companies such as Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Land O’Lakes, DriveTime, Subway, and Little Caesars Pizza, among others.

With his strong work ethic, deep-rooted knowledge of the Albuquerque market, and expertise in real estate marketing and technology, Brandon is committed to delivering exceptional results for his clients.

David A Chavez

David "Chavo" is a Partner and Qualifying Broker with Base 5 Retail. His focus is investment sales, project leasing, and tenant representation. As a top performing real estate professional, David is an expert deal maker who recognizes the specific challenges affecting today's commercial real estate market in Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico. Chavo has extensive experience representing some of the largest REIT owners in the country including VEREIT/CIM, Weingarten, GE Capital, Spirit, among others. He has also handled numerous tenant expansion and roll-outs in New Mexico including Ross, Wendy's, Jersey Mikes, and Sprint to name a few. Outside of the office Chavo spends his time skiing, mountain biking, and hiking.

Kino James

In 2011, Kino James formed a commercial real estate brokerage firm called Base 5 Retail Partners. This collaborative team broker is focused on results for its clients. Formerly a partner and owner at Maestas & Ward Commercial Real Estate in Albuquerque (since 2001), Kino has over 20 years experience in the commercial real estate business in New Mexico. An Albuquerque native and University of New Mexico alum with a BA in Business Finance, Kino is an expert in retail brokerage, leasing, tenant representation, property development, and financing.
