Derek began his real estate career in Texas in early 2007. Not long after moving to Albuquerque in 2010, he joined a local commercial brokerage that was a top industry leader.

During his time as a commercial broker, he has developed an unparalleled understanding of the Albuquerque commercial market and is well-versed in handling leases, sales, and investments. He provides a comprehensive analysis of the market and evaluates all options to help the clients make an informed business decision. Derek is a member of the Commercial Association of Realtors, New Mexico (CARNM) and Realtors Association New Mexico (RANM). He is a candidate of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute for the CCIM designation. In 2017 & 2018, he was presented with the Deal of the Year Under $1,000,000 from CCIM New Mexico.

Derek is very active in his local church, plays bass on the worship team and volunteers in many other capacities.

Before becoming a full time commercial realtor in May 2006, Ed managed his own business for 23 years.
