Jay Hill, born with a unique love for agriculture and raised on a small farm
in southern New Mexico, has diversified into many facets of the industry
over the last few decades. Jay has managed, owned, sold, and leased
more than 120,000 +/- acres in the agricultural space. These operations
have or still include forage crops, vineyards, international and domestic
marketing of forage products, seed production, pecan orchards, farm to
market produce, restaurant distribution, commercial produce, trucking
companies, feed yards, cattle production, and both organic and
conventional growing processes. Jay has not only worked in production
agriculture, but has also assisted in ground water remediation, Brownfield
properties, and restoration of properties that have laid idle for decades.
From irrigation outlays, crop and grazing rotations, investments in water
rights, investment farms, input plans, capital outlays, to working with
local, state, and national agencies, Jay has helped turn multiple properties
into profitable and sustainable operations. He served as an ambassador
for the US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance and has traveled across the
world speaking on behalf of farmers and ranchers.
