As Chief Executive Officer of Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico, John established the Company in 1985 and has built it into the largest commercial real estate firm in the State of New Mexico. His participation in decision-making organizations has enhanced the position of commercial real estate issues at local, national and international levels. John?s decorations for service as an outstanding Aviator during the Vietnam conflict serve to underscore his commitment to excellence.
John Lewinger began his career in real estate as Assistant to the President of Sommer Construction Company, New York City and New Jersey, where he directed leasing and management of 1000 apartment units and a 40 story building. In 1975 John moved to the Southwest where he founded a solid career in commercial real estate. As Broker and President of Walker Hinkle Company, John was instrumental in the company?s growth to third largest in New Mexico. As Executive Vice President of G.W. Walker and Company, John oversaw the development of over 140,000 square feet of industrial space in a period of two years.
