Tenth Street is Alamogordo’s central east-west thoroughfare and runs from the base of the Sacramento Mountains, west, thorough the City, through Downtown Alamogordo, and continues west to the Charlie T. Lee Relief Route. The Relief Route merges US Highway 54, 70 & 82, directing traffic around Alamogordo, that chooses that option rather than passing through Alamogordo's business district using White Sands Boulevard.

It is located within the Alamogordo city limits and is served by a City water main running along its east boundary. Electricity is in McDonald Road, as is natural gas.
